Title: COVID & Anxiety – Helping Your Children (and you) Cope

Description: Living through a pandemic is a real challenge to everybody’s mental health. For children and teens, being forced to remain inside and often not understanding the facts about the situation, anxiety can be a real struggle. In this webinar, the focus will be on how to help your child deal with the stress that they are feelings. Prior to the webinar you will be asked to send in a question or topic that you would like to see discussed.

Likely topics will include:

  • How do I explain COVID to my child in an age-appropriate manner?
  • My child just wants to play video games. Should I be worried?
  • I don’t think my child is getting enough work from school. What should I do?
  • My child is asking me questions that I cannot answer, like will there be camp this summer. How do I answer them?

This is meant to be an interactive session with a bare minimum of PowerPoint and I look forward to meeting you! If you have any questions please email me at kevin@hhcw.ca.
