The Mental Health Benefits of Being Outdoors

One of the greatest challenges of being isolated during a situation like COVID-19 is the disconnection from nature. Being outside can help lessen depression and increase energy and I encourage everybody to get outside at least once a day. There is tons of evidence showing the mental health benefits of being outdoors. In our area, Vaughan and the GTA, there are also lots of places for hiking and going on walks. So get out there!

On a lighter note, please have some patience with this video as my narration is not of the highest quality and I learned not to wear sunglasses and stare at the camera! In this case, I found that the mental health benefits of being outdoors for me was countered by the realization that I am a newbie videographer!
