Online Learning & Mental Health – Its Not Easy

HHCW

COVID has taught us all an important lesson: while technology can help make things better, some things are better done in person. Student, parents, and teachers have learned over the past 18 months that learning (and teaching) online can be hard.

In my office, I’ve worked with a lot of my patients on dealing with the mental health challenges that online learning can create. Students who are used to high marks are finding their results are not what they are used to. Children with developmental conditions (for example ADHD) have found learning alone a real challenge.

In this video, I try to help validate the feelings and experiences that people have had with online learning to normalize what they are feeling. I hope that it is helpful for you as well!

P.S. Check out my companion video that discusses “When / Are Grades Important?
