Open Positions

Family Therapist

Health & Happiness: Counselling and Wellness has an immediate opening for a Family Therapist. This is an exciting growth period at the clinic, and Family Therapy is a new service that will be offered.

Family Therapy is a very specific service and requires different training than individual therapy. It is also heavily in demand and a key growth target for our clinic. A good Family Therapist can be a lifesaver for families and can be a very fulfilling career.

A Bit About Us

Health & Happiness: Counselling and Wellness is a mental health clinic in Vaughan, Ontario and has been open since 2019. We currently offer:

  • Individual therapy for ages 7+
  • Play therapy for ages 4-6, and others who benefit from this engaging approach
  • Couples and Relationship Therapy

Founded by Clinical Director and Registered Psychotherapist Kevin Greene after a long career in corporate technology sales, our mission is to offer realistic psychotherapy and counselling to those in need. Our team is growing, and is an amazing mix of experiences. All were selected because of their unique backgrounds. What they share is an understanding of developmental challenges, and passion to help.

The Ideal Candidate

You will first and foremost be a licensed therapist (CRPO or OCSWSSW preferred) and have demonstrated clinical experience with Family Therapy. Depending on your experience, you will also require access to supervision specifically for Family Therapy.

You will also have a clinical understanding of both ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is critical to serve the families that you will be seeing. For Family Therapy to be successful with families that include neurodiverse members, it has to be done so they are not singled out as the problem to be fixed.

This position as an independent contractor. Hours required will be, when fully engaged, three shifts per week of up to seven hours per shift. This is NOT a virtual position, although some families might require virtual service. Based on your comfort and experience, home visits are also a possibility.
