How Julia Can Help
Reaching out for help can feel scary and although I am a therapist, I know this because I am human too! I am an empathetic and attentive listener who strives to make my clients feel at home. I apply an integrative and client-centered approach, tailored to meet individualized needs and goals. While I utilize a variety of techniques and modalities, developing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is my primary value as a practitioner. Everybody deserves to live a meaningful and fulfilling life, and together we can develop goals and tools to make that happen!
Experience
Julia is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and recently completed her Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Wilfrid Laurier University and a post-graduate diploma in Mediation & Alternative Dispute Resolution from Durham College. Julia has over 20 years of dance experience in performing arts and teaching and is enthusiastic about the mind, body, and spirit connection as trauma manifests in the body. When appropriate, she enjoys exploring movement-based techniques and utilizing humor in sessions.
