How I can help

Therapy with me can be a place to slow down, take a breath, and have some space to make sense of what you’re going through. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in your head, struggling in a relationship, navigating a major life change, or simply feeling like something needs to shift, we can start wherever you are. I’m a warm, down-to-earth, compassionate, and honest therapist. I’ll listen without judgment, but I also won’t just sit back and nod. I’ll help you make sense of what’s happening, gently challenge you when it’s helpful, and work with you to find practical strategies that fit your real life. My hope is that therapy becomes a comfortable space where you can let your guard down, feel truly heard, and work through the serious, messy, and sometimes even humorous parts of life.

Experience

Natalie Freiberg is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from York University. With over ten years of experience in the mental health and social services field, Natalie has developed a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals, couples and families. Prior to entering private practice, she worked with individuals providing counselling at an agency serving the York Region, as well as with the Toronto District School Board and with immigrant and refugee populations.

More than just my work

Outside of my work, I’m a mom of three, a partner, and a very happy dog owner to a big, fluffy dog who keeps life interesting. I value time with family and friends, good conversations, and humour. Like many people, I juggle many roles and responsibilities, and I understand how easy it can be to put yourself last. I’ve come to really value the importance of self-care, finding balance, and making space for the things that help us feel grounded.
